We count the creation of Darya Vetrova’s brand as the beginning of Yurta Interiors. Vetrova Home is a small team that maintains a textile showroom and production shop and a database of our partner textile manufacturers.

Over the course of several months, we searched for premises and partners, held many brainstorm sessions, visited exhibitions, began building our collection, expanded our staff, renovated, and began receiving deliveries of furniture and samples for the showroom.
2017: The Launch of Yurta Interiors
August 24th is the linchpin of Yurta Interiors’ history. We invited our clients, friends, colleagues, and partners from abroad to a beautiful and lavish launch celebration. The team has remained pretty much unchanged since the brand’s inauguration.
September 2017: Maison&Objet Exhibition
We found our first partners at this design exhibition in Paris, and learned about the production of furniture, lighting, decorative objects, and carpets. We also bought our first samples to build up our database.
2017: Round Table with Invited Experts
We helped organize an event featuring prominent Russian design experts: the interior critic Olga Kosyreva, the interior stylist Yulia Chebotar, and the photographer Sergey Ananyev. They shared their experiences working with Elle Decoration and AD Russia with an audience of local architects and interior designers and we met Kazakhstani designers.
2017: House in the Foothills
We supplied the furniture and all other furnishings for this project, including lighting, rugs, textiles, and even crockery and cutlery. This project was our first inspiring experience.
2017: First Steps
We were running several textile projects for new and existing clients in parallel to the House in the Foothills project. We handled deliveries of individual items and started working with designers.
September 2017: Visit to the Loro Piana Factory
We went to Milan to visit the brand’s factory. This was the beginning of our great friendship with Loro Piana, the famous Italian manufacturer of luxury fabrics.
November 2017: Interior Workshop
We invited interior stylist Yulia Chebotar to conduct a four-day workshop for local designers and decorators about how to stage professional shoots and design lifestyle projects. 2018: Publications in Design and Style Magazines
Starting this year, projects spearheaded by the designers Aizhan Kunayeva and Elina Musakulova that we have participated in have been regularly featured in the Russian interior design magazines Elle Decoration and AD Russia.
November 2018: Visit to the de Le Cuona Factory
